Ingredients to make Immune Booster Mix
1 cup = 240 ml : tsp= teaspoon: tbsp= tablespoon
3 cup Jaggery
3 cup Water
1 cup finely chopped Ginger
1 tsp Turmeric powder
1 tsp Pepper powder
1 tsp Cinamon powder
1 tsp Dry ginger powder
1 tsp Cardamom powder
Salt to taste
2-3 tbsp Ghee/coconut oil
1/3 cup Sesame seeds roasted
How to make Immune Booster Mix
In a heavy bottom wok. Add 2 cups of water and 2 cups of jaggery. Let the jaggery melt completely in the water. If your jaggery is organic or you know that its dirt free, you can immediately use it. You can also melt jaggery and filter it before boiling.
Add 1 cup Ginger finely chopped, 1 tsp Turmeric powder, 1 tsp Pepper powder, 1 tsp Cinamon powder, 1 tsp Dry ginger powder, and 1 tsp Cardamom powder.
After the mixture is 3/4 done. Add 2-3 tbsp Ghee and salt to taste.
Mix Well Until all the ingredients are infused evenly.
Add 1/3 cup of a roasted sesame seed. and give a final stir.
Your immune booster syrup is ready.
My Tip:
Use fresh ingredients and check that your spices aren’t stale.
Chop ginger into fine pieces so that the end result will taste better. Otherwise, you will find ginger chunks which will result in spicy.
You can add coconut oil instead of ghee.
Do not add the Ghee + Salt before this stage as
A. you might end up adding more than required.
B. it will differ in taste.
C. Healing property less effective. The mixture has to be thick incorporated and smooth. Not watery.
I have added 1/3 cup of a sesame seed. You can add it according to your convenience.
I prefer roasted sesame seed has it enhance the flavor. Make sure not to add more salt since the end results will be less productive.
Pour in an airtight clean jar, Secure lid, and store in the refrigerator or a dry, cool spot away from heat and light for up to 3 months.
